It is nice to visit a site that has very practical lessons for difficult questions. Too often the answers I hear fall in the category of, “Just pray it through, brother, and see that God is faithful.” About the time I hear “pray it through” I’ve already tuned out.

Naturally, I like your writing because it is a bit like mine — if you can’t make a point that people can use, why write? If I cant’ challenge them to think beyond themselves; encourage them in Christ-likeness; support them when times are difficult or give them hope for a better future, I try not to write anything. Too many Christian blogs are little more than people whining about their problems or trying to tell someone else the multitude of reasons they are wrong.

I see that you have a plethora of books out. That’s great. I’m trying to get ONE book published, but this is a tough time in the publishing world. But as your blog said, God’s “No” may be more of a God’s Timing issue than a refusal to answer my prayer. Besides, it is always too soon to give up hope.
